Q: Which is smarter, Longitude or Latitude? A: Longitude, because is has 360 degrees.
On this campout we take maps and compass to a whole new level. We will focus on orienteering, map & compass, and nature. Scouts will hike in to the campsite with their personal gear in backpacks, approximately 1 mile. There will be an orienteering course competition between the patrols. In preparation, Scouts should pages 346-351 and 372-374 in the Scout Handbook about “Navigation”.
Participation is mandatory for all scouts.
